St. Philomena Feast Day Celebration
August 11
We begin with daily mass. All those from Star of the Sea and any local parishoners devoted to Saint Philomena, gather together at her shrine. Prayers consisting of the Litany to St. Philomena and the Rosary are said followed with a meal and recreation at the Ave Maria Community Center. To date (2008) we have had 10 years of honoring St. Philomena.
